An estimated 133 million American adults suffer from at least one chronic condition

Take into account chronic pain, anxiety, and depression, and this number increases to over 175 million – more than half the population. While many conditions such as heart disease and diabetes have received full mainstream attention, there is a growing subset of inflammatory-based conditions and environmental sensitivities known as “central sensitization syndromes” that, up until recently, had no known cause, and no effective treatment. And these conditions, while not acutely life-threatening, can wreak havoc on a person’s quality of life.
